The Notion box, corrected

Correction — please read if you set up a Notion box. Copies downloaded before 4 August 2026 shipped a Notion setup guide that was missing the properties the Chase writes, and offered two status options — In Queue and Chased — that the skill never uses. A box built from it could capture normally but could not record nut counts, so the green light at six and the idea of the year had nowhere to live. Nothing you captured is lost. The full edition's references/notion-setup.md now has a migration section: add five properties, fix the status options, and check any saved view that filters on Status. Your database does not need rebuilding.
Both editions now say which version they are. Open SKILL.md or README.md and look at the top: it reads Squirrel Skill 1.3.0. Anything older is a pre-correction copy. (Separate from Squirrel Box Format v1, which versions your saved box file and has not changed — your existing box stays valid.)
A README, at last. Both ZIPs now open with one: install in a minute, your first capture, where the box lives, your first Chase. Previously that only existed in the delivery email.
Setup guides are now edition-specific. The free guide documents exactly what the free edition supports — 13 capture properties, and the two statuses it actually writes. The full guide adds the five Chase properties, all seven statuses, and a home for the Season Log.
Season one now opens itself. The first Chase writes its own season divider. Chase numbering counts under that divider, and season one never had one — so from Chase 2 onward, a first-year box was counting against something that did not exist.
Sales policy, clarified in your favour. The licence inside the paid ZIP read as though you had one business day to report a missing file. It now matches the site: one business day is the delivery window, and your remedy — immediate delivery or a full refund, your choice — does not expire.

The free tier goes direct

Free tier is live: squirrel-free.zip is now a direct download on the page — no email gate, no form. Click, install, capture. The demo now also hands you your capture as a ready-to-paste squirrel-box.md entry.
Privacy-friendly analytics: GoatCounter — cookie-less, aggregate counts only, no personal data, no consent banner needed. Details on the privacy page.
Update policy, decided: Free updates forever — both tiers.

The Squirrel Box, restored

The Squirrel Box: the season tournament now carries its original name — the Squirrel Box 🐿️, straight from the source skill — everywhere on the site and in the ZIP (box-tournament.md replaces the old tournament file).
Universal positioning: Agent Skills began at Anthropic in October 2025 and is now an open standard adopted across major AI platforms. Claude stays the first-class install path; SKILL.md is plain markdown any capable AI can follow, and the install section now says so honestly.
Notion setup guide: references/notion-setup.md ships in both tiers — the original box is Notion-native, and the route is now paved property by property.
Legal: pages now credit AI Company USA dba SUMMIT Business Automation.
